Smart Works is governed by our Board of Trustees, who bring with them a wealth and depth of experience across a diverse range of industries.

We’re grateful for all the hard work and dedication of the members of our board. The work we do would not be possible without their guidance.

Ewa Kerin
Ewa is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants and has held a number of senior positions within the Financial Services industry for over 25 years at JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, Willis Towers Watson and HSBC.

Sim Scavazza
Sim is Acting Chair for the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire West NHS Integrated Care Board, and also a Non-Executive Director for two NHS Acute Trusts, where she chairs the People Committee and the North West London EDI steering group. She started advocating for sustainability in fashion in 2006 when appointed to the Board of Adili, and contributed to the establishment of the Centre for Sustainability, London College of Fashion.
Jane Shepherdson CBE
Jane Shepherdson is a leading figure in fashion retail, having been CEO of Whistles and before that Brand Director at Topshop. She is also Creative Advisor to Oxfam and a patron of the Almeida Theatre in North London. She was awarded a CBE in 2006 for services to fashion retail. Jane is proud to be a regular dressing volunteer in North London and is passionate about Smart Works.
Catherine Warne
Catherine spent 30 years in the global communications world in multi-national agencies specialising in healthcare. Her expertise lies in marketing, all methods of communication and people development. She has created three companies from the ground up and developed them into successful award-winning businesses. In her spare time Catherine runs a not-for-profit for young people transitioning from university into the workplace.
Elly McLoughlin
Elly is an Agile Delivery Manager in the financial services industry, with a background in project management and a passion for technology. She is dedicated to empowering women and creating opportunities for them to thrive in the workplace. Elly became aware of Smart Works through our corporate relationship with Close Brothers, where she currently works.
Jane Padwick
Jane’s career has spanned both commercial and charitable sectors.  Originally working in recruitment and then consulting to the IT sector in London, Jane changed directions after moving to the South West and co-founded a relocation business.  In 2018, she joined Smart Works Reading as a dressing volunteer and has remained committed to the charity ever since.
